But I can't sail a boat?!

If this is the first thing that crosses your mind, our training course is just what you need. Urk Yacht Charter will be organising practical training sessions again in the spring or autumn. This course is suitable for anyone (with or without a sailing proficiency certificate) who plans to spend time on the water now or in the future and would like to know how to control a motor yacht.

The course comprises the following components:
• Approx. 1 hour's basic theory, including navigation rules and signs on the water, safety measures on board
• environmental tips
• steering and manoeuvring a motor yacht
• how to work with the engine and drive system etc.
• Approx. 3 hours' practical experience with one of our 12-metre ships, practising the most common operations such as: mooring and casting off, lock behaviour and anchorage.

The lessons will be held in the spring or autumn, in the morning from 09.00 hours to approx. 13.00 hours or in the afternoon from 14.00 hours to approximately 18.00 hours. The costs are € 85 per person (maximum of 4 persons per group). Or why not book a morning or afternoon with family members, friends or colleagues, to spend time on the water and learn how to control a boat?
